Request for Leak Adjustment

* indicates a required field.

AS A COURTESY TO OUR CUSTOMERS: A Partial Adjustment for qualifying leaks may be granted within a twelve-month period. This form can only be filled out by the Highland County Water Company Member signed up on the meter (if renting, property owner must be the applicant). An adjustment will be considered for the leak that results in a water bill of $200.00 or more above the normal monthly water bill. We will give partial adjustments for up to 3 consecutive months. Once you fix the leak and turn this form in along with any receipts for proof of the repair, we will schedule an inspection.  The meter must be turned on and not turning at the time of the inspection in order to qualify for the leak adjustment. If the meter is still turning when we go out for the inspection you will be responsible for paying a $50 dollar service charge. You will need to fill out a new Leak Adjustment form along with the receipts showing the cost of the new repair to be considered for a leak adjustment. Please leave a good contact number for our field representative so they can contact you if the meter is turning.  The customer is required to pay half of the monthly bill each month until the adjustment has been granted. Late charges accumulated will be refunded when the adjustment is granted as long as the monthly bills are paid before their due date. The company reserves the right to allow 3 months of normal usage before adjustment can be determined.

Note: A copy of a plumber or contractors repair bill must accompany this request for adjustment. If the customer repaired the leak, a copy of the materials must accompany the request. The company reserves the right to allow at least three months actual readings before adjustment can be determined.

The leak must amount to a billing of $ 200.00 or more above normal to qualify for review.
